HONG KONG

Simply Coldwater Heaven, this is where virtually all of our goldfish and fancies come from. Not the cheapest source of supply but without doubt the best we have found.  Hong Kong is also the source for most of our Discus.

Quality control takes on a whole new meaning in Hong Kong with a "zero defect policy" that works they get it right first time all of the time. At every step of the production process the fish are checked and checked again.  Backing this up is an on site laboratory facility which ensures early detection and a fast response to any problems.

As a final precaution before they are allowed to leave all fish are quarantined and inspected individually.  They are then carefully bagged, oxygenated and packed ready for shipping.

No its not a pond, this is the small water conditioning tank of one of our suppliers.  Note the massive amounts of vegetation which remove nutrients and filter the water, it's low tech but highly effective.
